In the year of 1939, Luang Anuphasphuketkarn’s success reached its zenith before World War II, making him very wealthy indeed. In Malaysia he was known as “Zia Bi Ong” or “the Lord of Tin (錫礦王 )”. When his businesses were all highly successful, he decided that it was time to look to the future and to secure it for generations to come. According to that Anuphas & Sons Co., Ltd. was established by Luang Anuphasphuketkarn (Tan Chin Guan/Chin Guan Hongsyok) to ensure his own and his children’s financial security on  26th March, 1939, with authorized capital of 2.2 million Baht, and  distributed shares among his wife and children. The main office is located at 74 Thepkasattri Road, Talad Yai Subdistrict, Muang Phuket District, Phuket.

At the beginning, the company started with Tin mine business in Phuket by using the gravel pump mining process. The company also had mines in Ranong, Trang, and Nakhon Sri Thammarat, In order to support round-the-clock mining operations, other industries were set up – a lathe workshop, a lumber mill and a rice mill, and the company branched out into other unrelated operations, including a soap factory, a brewery, rubber and coconut plantations, and a ferry service between Phuket and Kantang. However, as the tin began to dwindle, the tin prices continued to reduce and also government had no policy to promote the tin mines in Phuket and prohibited tin mines business. At the same time, there were policies to promote the tourism industry so tin mining business of the Company was eventually withdrew entirely from mining industry.

Nowadays, the land from the tin mining operation has been used for companies under management of Anuphas & Sons Co., Ltd. with maintaining the same vision as Luang Anuphas first managed. In operation for 78 years, Anuphas & Sons Co., Ltd. has managed 12 companies in car dealerships, real estate company, and Golf club with 1,500 employers. These businesses are successfully managed by 3 executives as followed:

  1. Mr. Narong Hongsyok Chairman
  2. Mr. Montri Hongsyok Management Committee
  3. Lt. Phumisak Hongsyok Management Committee

The children of Luang Anuphas has been followed the father’s will and also present generations, grandchildren and great grandchildren are part of the company operation.
